Your applications define the workstation

A professional workstation should match your application versions, project sizes, render engine and daily workflow. Tell us where your current computer slows down, how many displays you use and whether you need smooth interactive work, faster exports, rendering capacity or several applications running together.

CAD, BIM and engineering

Discuss AutoCAD, Revit, SOLIDWORKS and other design workflows. We review the exact application requirements, model complexity and graphics compatibility needs, including vendor hardware-certification lists where relevant.

Video editing and animation

Plan around Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects or your chosen Windows-compatible tools. Footage formats, effects, timeline resolution, storage capacity and export workflows help guide the configuration.

Graphic design and photography

Tell us about Photoshop, Lightroom and other creative applications, typical document sizes and multitasking. We review memory, storage, processor performance and display connectivity as a complete system.

3D rendering and visualization

For Blender, V-Ray and other rendering workflows, identify your rendering engine and whether your work uses CPU or GPU rendering. Scene size, GPU memory requirements and sustained cooling are reviewed before choosing components.

GeForce or professional graphics?

We discuss NVIDIA GeForce and professional GPU options according to your software, graphics-memory needs, driver requirements and available components. A professional GPU is considered where a particular application or support requirement calls for it. We check the relevant vendor guidance rather than assume that every workstation needs the same card.

Driver selection is part of the configuration review. A creator-focused driver may suit supported creative applications, while software with specific certification requirements needs its own hardware and driver checks. We do not describe an entire custom workstation as vendor-certified without evidence for that exact configuration.

A balanced platform for demanding work

  • Intel and AMD processors: choose a supported platform around interactive work, rendering and multitasking requirements.
  • Memory: plan capacity and a compatible configuration around project demands, with future expansion reviewed against motherboard limits.
  • SSD storage: discuss operating-system, project, media and cache storage needs. Additional capacity and a separate backup plan can be included in the scope.
  • Cooling and power: select a suitable power supply, cooler and airflow arrangement for the proposed components and sustained workloads.
  • Maintainability: consider access for servicing, spare expansion slots, drive connections, physical clearance and clean cable routing.

From parts selection to a working system

We prioritize genuine, new components sourced through manufacturers or established distribution channels where available, and confirm exact models and any exceptions with you. The build process includes compatibility review, careful assembly, supported BIOS configuration, appropriate drivers and agreed Windows setup.

Before handover, we check memory, storage, CPU and GPU stability and operating temperatures using suitable tests. Application-specific validation is agreed around your software access and representative workload. Commercial software installation, licensing, data migration and backup setup are defined in the agreed scope.

Workstation replacement and business rollout

Experiencing crashes or hardware faults? See workstation repair and diagnostics to assess your existing system before deciding on replacement.

Replacing an expensive desktop involves more than choosing faster parts. Tell us about existing equipment, essential peripherals, project storage and the impact of downtime. We can discuss migration and deployment alongside engineering and architecture office IT support or wider business computer support.

We work toward an efficient turnaround and confirm scheduling after checking parts availability and workshop workload. Share your deadline before ordering. For rendering workstation inquiries elsewhere in Canada, contact us first to confirm whether delivery, shipping protection and support arrangements can be agreed for your location.

Workstation build questions

What should I send for a workstation recommendation?

List your application names and versions, typical project size, current bottlenecks, display setup, preferred components and target timeframe. Avoid sending confidential project files with the initial inquiry.

Can you upgrade my current workstation?

Yes, we can review the exact system model or component list and discuss suitable upgrades. Compatibility, cooling, power and the condition of existing parts are checked before deciding what to reuse.

Does a custom PC support every creative application?

No. Compatibility must be checked for the exact operating system, software version and hardware. Tell us about every essential application before approving the build.

Application requirements we review

Requirements change with software versions. Useful starting points include Autodesk’s Revit graphics hardware guidance, Adobe Premiere technical requirements and NVIDIA Studio information. Final component recommendations are made for your particular workflow.

Tell us what your next PC needs to do

Share your applications or games, performance priorities and preferred completion timeframe. We will discuss the configuration and next steps with you.
